Favorite Book and Only Book

I'm not much of a book reader. I find myself to get very bored. I'd rather much watch something than try to visualize it in my mind. However, there is one book I just had to read after watching part one of the movie. I love the Twilight Saga movies and still find myself binge watching them if they have a Twilight Movie marathon on television.
Breaking Dawn part one released October 30, 2011. That evening I went to see it in the theatre. I left needing to know what happens. There was no way I could wait till the following year. That next day I went and purchased the book Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. The book consist of 756 pages. I thought it would take me forever to read. It took a week, I just needed to know what happened to Bella. I could visualize it in my head as I read it, probably because I've watched the previous collection.
Bella and Edward wed and leave for their honeymoon. Love making is somewhat difficult with Edward, he leaves bruises on Bella, he thirst for her human blood. They return and Bella becomes pregnant. She becomes very ill with the child growing inside her. Everyone seems to think the child is a vampire. Jacob and the Cullens' family think Bella should abort the child. Bella decides her love for this child is worth sacrificing her own life. Her condition worsens and blood drinking seems to help. The baby is also growing at a much quicker rate and they are forced to deliver the baby by caesarean section. Bella loses large amounts of blood and to keep her alive after the birth of their daughter, Edward changes Bella over to a vampire. Bella pulls through and finds that Jacob imprinted on her daughter(Renesmee). While this is upsetting to her she finds that Jacob will protect her daughter. She has a much bigger problem with the Volturi. The Volturi found out that Bella and Edward had a child and believe it to be immortal and they want to go to war. Edward and Bella seek out help from the wolves and other family and friends. They need to show other that their daughter is half human and half vampire. Renesme is special and there is one other child like her. Nahuel is a vampire crossbreed and comes to show the Volturi there is no threat between crossbreeds. The Volturi is convinced that everything is fine and leaves. Bella, Edward, Jacob, Renesmee and their families then live in peace.
I don't see me sitting down to read any books in the near future unless, there is a movie they cut into parts and I just can't wait for it's release.

Getting to Know Noah

Noah and his Girlfriend
This week in English I had the opportunity of sitting down with a classmate to interview them. Many thoughts went through my head in the selection process because I could be all these kids' mother. Noah, whom sits next to me asked if he could interview me. I started off by asking him questions about himself. I learned about him as a person, his activities, his passions, plans after high school, and plans after college.
Noah and his mother
Noah McMullen, age 17 is entering his senior year at Nazareth High school. He is part of the high school baseball team, in a relationship, occasionally hunts and enjoys to fish. When I  asked to describe himself, he finds himself to be very laid back and wears his heart on his sleeve.

His passion is baseball. He has been playing the sport since the age of five. Noah is a pitcher for his high school team. He has many accomplishments with this sport. In sixth and seventh grade he made the Lil League All-Star team, last year he was selected for the Junior Regional All-Stars, and many other accomplishments, too many to note.

Aside from baseball Noah has a broad background in music. He has been playing the keyboard for three years, drum and guitar for five years. Nazareth High School offers a class called "Block The Rock," that he is part of. The course consists of musicians, and they come together in class to perform song covers.

After high school Noah plans to attend Slippery Rock, Bloomsburg or Kutztown University. He would like to major in Health and PE Education and wishes to continue his baseball career at the Division 2 college level.
Looking beyond college, he would like to return back to the Lehigh Valley to pursue a job as a  Health and PE teacher and a high school baseball coach.
Getting to know Noah came naturally. I find him very soft spoken, kind hearted and easy to communicate with. I wish him well and I believe he will follow his dreams and be very successful in life.

Call Me Crazy

Tanner and Ella
Many would call me crazy for even attempting college at the age of forty-one. I'm starting to believe that.  I'm a wife and mother of two, well make that three with my bulldog. My husband Andy is a great provider and has made it very easy for me to stay at home with our three children. Tanner age seventeen, Ella age seven, and Fatz age two. One would think why would I even want to go to college, why not just get a job, or why not continue doing what I'm doing? The answer is this, my kids are growing up, they are both in school full time, and I find the routine boring. I clean, do laundry, cook, fix boo boo's,  and call myself the taxi. I find I'm wanting more, to be social, not just social on the mom level. I however, don't want a job that a schedule would interfere with me being there for my family, summer by the pool and vacation.  So, I decided since I never went to college, why not give it a try? I never really tried in high school, I was too worried about my social life and boy did my grades prove it. I just barely graduated. I now wish I did better in high school because it does make this whole college thing hard.  It would have benefitted me with helping my children with school work, instead of hiring a tutor to do the job. With this all being said, my plan is to do college at my pace and continue to be the best mother and a wife.  As far as being crazy, well yeah, that I have always been.
